Kaushalacharya AwardEstablished in : 2019 Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship
Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) instituted the Kaushalacharya Award in 2019(This Award carries a Certificate) as an annual affair, to felicitate trainers from different sectors for exceptional contribution towards creating a future-ready and skilled work-force in a bid to motivate and incentivize more trainers to join the Skill India Mission and also to recognize the contribution made by skill trainers in the vocational training ecosystem and entrepreneurial initiatives to motivate young entrepreneurs for taking up self employment as means of livelihood. The Logistics Excellence, Advancement, and Performance Shield (LEAPS) is a flagship initiative of Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, designed to acknowledge and celebrate the best practices and innovations within the logistics industry. In line with the National Logistics Policy 2022, LEAPS aims to create a new benchmark in India, as well as globally, by not only recognizing outstanding leadership and innovative endeavours across various sectors within the logistics industry, including air, road, sea, rail freight, warehousing, multimodal transportation, but also the MSMEs, Startups, and Academia who have been providing innovative solutions across the logistics ecosystem. LEAPS also raise awareness about sustainability, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices, and Green Logistics, while promoting collaboration between the government, industry, and academia to drive progress and efficiency. National Innovation Foundation (NIF)-India, an autonomous body of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, invites entries of unaided technological innovations and traditional knowledge developed at grassroots by an individual (Citizen of India) or group. The innovations can be in the field of agriculture, health, energy, household or utility, transportation, livestock etc. leading to the reduction in drudgery, livelihood generation, development of plant varieties or herbal remedies for human/ animal/ farming problems, or any other low cost sustainable green technologies. These should be unaided/ unsupervised and an outcome of one's own creativity, without any technical support from external agencies. Creative ideas for innovative technologies/ techniques solving persistence problems of society, which may not have been developed into prototypes, may also be submitted.

National Technology AwardsEstablished in : 1999 Department of Science and Technology
It was on 11th May 1998, that India had a prideful accomplishment of successfully conducting Nuclear Missile Test at Indian Army’s Pokhran range. On this day first indigenous aircraft Hansa-3 was test flown at Bangalore and India also conducted successful test firing of the Trishul missile on the same day. Considering all these achievements 11th, May was chosen to be commemorated as National Technology Day. To commemorate this day and to forge a powerful partnership with national laboratories and to create knowledge networks with academic institutions, Technology Development Board, under the Aegis of DST instituted a National Technology Award for successful commercialization of indigenous technology by industrial concerns in 1999. Within the same national technology award the second category was introduced in 2000 for SSI units. Later this has been renamed as MSME award. From 2017 onwards, under that same category national technology award for start-up has been introduced to encourage & promote technologies developed by start-ups having potential for commercialization. From 2021 onwards a new category of National Award for Translational Research in science and technology has been introduced. Also, in order to recognize and reward the remarkable work done by startup Incubator, DST has instituted National Award for Technology Business Incubator in 2004. 1. National Technology Award (Main) - for the successful commercialization of indigenous technology. This award will be given to an industrial concern which has successfully developed & commercialized an indigenous technology on or after April 2017. In case, the technology developer / provider and technology commercializer are two different organizations, each one would be eligible for award of ₹25 Lakh and a trophy. i. Introduction:
Science and Technology are essential tools for the development of society. Scientists play a very important role in selflessly driving the systematic quest for truth and the development of new knowledge. They are the backbone of the nation, contributing tirelessly to the development of society. The exemplary and outstanding contributions of scientists need to be recognised so that they can serve as an inspiration to others.
Objective:
The objective of the Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar (RVP) is to recognise the notable and inspiring contributions made by scientists, technologists, and innovators individually or in teams, across various fields of science, technology, and technologyled innovation.
Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar:
The Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar shall be one of the highest recognitions in the fields of science, technology, and innovation in India. Scientists/technologists/innovators working in government, private sector organizations, or individuals working outside any organisation, who have made distinguished contributions in terms of pathbreaking research or innovation or discovery in any fields of science, technology, or technologyled innovation, shall be eligible for the awards. People of Indian origin residing abroad who have made exceptional contributions benefiting the Indian community or society shall also be eligible for the awards. The awards shall be given in the following four categories:
a. Vigyan Ratna (VR) award to be awarded to recognize lifetime achievements & contributions made in any field of science and technology.
b. Vigyan Shri (VS) award to be awarded to recognize distinguished contributions in any field of science and technology.
c. Vigyan Yuva-Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar (VY-SSB) award to be awarded to recognize & encourage young scientists who have made an exceptional contribution in any field of science and technology.
d. Vigyan Team (VT) award to be awarded to a team comprising three or more scientists/researchers/innovators who have made an exceptional contribution working in a team in any field of science and technology.
The RVP awards for People of Indian Origin should have a maximum limit in each category (VR 1; VS 3; VY-SSB 3; VT 0) to encourage India-based scientists, technologists, innovators, and teams.

NMDC is set up at Mumbai for organizing and coordinating various programmes for celebrations of the National Maritime Day and the Merchant Navy Flag Day and other activities at all major, intermediate and minor ports and other places in India and abroad. The Committee is composed of representatives of Ship-owners, Seafarers and of the Offices of the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping. The Committee secures funds through voluntary contribution from the Ship-owners, Ports authorities, various Semi Government and non-official organization interested in Shipping. The main objects of the NMDC as listed out in the Memorandum of Association are as under: 1.1. To organize the National Maritime Day Celebrations and the Merchant Navy Flag Day on 5 th April every year at all such ports and such places in India and abroad in such manner as may be decided upon by the Committee from time to time. 1.2.
